Come learn how to make a two-color screenprint using photo emulsion and our exposure unit this fall! We will be covering how to make hand-drawn and digital transparencies for screenprinting, how to expose those transparencies into a screen, and how to register and print that screen onto paper (or fabric). Each participant will create their own unique design to print on a substrate of their choosing- no previous printmaking or screenprinting experience is required! Participants can choose to make a hand-drawn design or a digital/photographic one.
This class will take place on Thursday evenings from 5:30-8:30pm on 11/6, 11/13, and 11/20. All materials will be provided by the class including screens, squeegees, photo emulsion, transparencies, printing paper, markers, etc. Participants are required to bring a sketchbook for drawing designs or digital files to print designs.
